Civil Ceremonies

The Nuremore is the perfect place for a civil ceremonies or civil partnership in Ireland. We have several stunning suites that can accommodate both the ceremony itself and the celebrations after. The Ballroom can accommodate anything from 150 to 300 guests, while our private dining rooms & Kavanagh Suite are perfect for a more intimate gathering. The Nuremore prides itself on the high standard of food and service for your big day and we would be happy to help in any way we can. The Cedar Garden, designed by gold medal award winning garden designer, Paul Martin, is the perfect spot for both an outdoor drinks reception or outdoor ceremony as well as those all important photographs.

The Nuremore is licensed to hold civil ceremonies & partnerships, however these are arranged by you the couple.

Legal Requirements for booking your Civil Ceremony

You must attend in person at the office of the Registrar by prior appointment to give at least three months notification of intention to marry. At this meeting with the Registrar you will be asked for the following: Full evidence of name, address, age, marital status and nationality. In general you will be asked to produce passports as I.D., original final decrees in respect of previous divorce (if applicable), P.P.S. numbers of the couple. You will also be asked for the details of the marriage, the intended date, the names and date of births of witnesses and details of the venue so it’s best to have these booked before your appointment. The Marriage notification can be given to any Registrar, the HSE will advise you of the contact details that are closest to you.
